Four Types of Urinary Incontinence Most Common in Women

  • Stress Urinary Incontinence: Leakage of urine occurs during physical activity such as coughing, sneezing, laughing and exercise.
  • Urge Incontinence: A strong, intense urge to urinate, followed by leakage of urine. This can occur even after just going to the bathroom.
  • Mixed Incontinence: Symptoms of both stress and urge incontinence are experienced.
  • Overflow Incontinence: Leakage occurs because the bladder never completely empties
